Summer Showcases
The BREAKDOWN's Summer Showcases are Minnesota's No. 1 tournaments for varsity and JV teams across the state. We cater to teams across Minnesota by having our locations in six great locations.

Great Northwoods League
Running on eight weekends from mid-December through early March, fifth through eighth grade cagers get a big league experience.

The league was formed at the request of many programs from Central and Northern Minnesota. This league will creat more opportunities for players and programs to save money, raise money, provide great competition, and participate in a formal,organized league ran by the largest basketball event coordinator in The Breakdown.

* Play 3 games each weekend for $100
* Save miles with less travel
* Teams may host a weekend to fundraise
* All results, schedules posted on a Breakdown's Website
* Awards given for league and tourney winners
* Sanctioned officials
* Teams receive discounts and promotions from The Breakdown and Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx

Dates:
7th and 8th Grade: Dec 13, Jan 17, Feb 14 and 28
5th and 6th Grade: Feb 14, 21, 28 and March 7th

Tip Off Classic
The Tip Off Classic history began back in January of 2004. The BREAKDOWN staff wanted to showcase teams from across the state and provide unique, competitive matchups. We also wanted to have top-rated teams with state tournament aspirations. The experiment worked out so well that now we host the No. 1 single-day classic in Minnesota.

The 2008 Tip Off Classics will be held Dec. 12-13, 2008 (boys) at Marshall and Dec. 5-6, 2008 (girls) at Becker. For more information, please click here. Please note, the schedule has changed (posted 3-18-2008).

Minnesota vs. Wisconsin Border Battle
The annual Border Battle was first conceived by The BREAKDOWN and the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook in the winter of 2006-07 as a way to pit the top teams from Minnesota and Wisconsin against each other at a site rotating between the two states. Wisconsin has the early upper hand, winning three of five games in each of the first two years.

The 2008-09 Border Battle is scheduled for Jan. 24, 2009 at Owatonna High School in Minnesota. For more on the series, please click here.

Granite City Holiday Classic
One of the most popular tournaments in the St. Cloud area is back! The BREAKDOWN has taken over sponsorship of the famous Granite City Holiday Classic.

The 2008 tournament will run Dec. 29-31 at Apollo High School. Many teams return, including defending champion Forest Lake. For more information on the Classic, please click here.

Youth Tournaments
