The 21st annual Minnesota High School Volleyball Coaches Association All-Star Game is coming to Sauk Rapids-Rice High School this Wednesday at 7 p.m. Team Baden will face Team North Country Region, which features 2007 Ms. Volleyball Jennifer Lopez of D-G-F.

#3 – Courtney Bitter – 5’6” – Setter – Bemidji High School – Played at Lake of the Woods High School her first five seasons and at Bemidji High School her senior year…played for her mother, Laurie, at Lake of the Woods…played for Teresa Colligan at Bemidji…Lake of the Woods teams made three state appearances (2003, 2005, 2006) and finished as Class AA champion in 2005 and runner-up in 2003…made state tournament All-Tournament Team in 2005 and 2006…was North Border All-Conference in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006…was conference MVP in 2006…was All-State in 2005, 2006, 2007…team captain in 2004 and 2007…Lumberjack team finished 21-7 in 2007…lost to section champion St. Michael-Albertville in Section 8AAA semi-finals…ranks first all-time in career set assists in Minnesota High School history with 4,525…fondest high school volleyball memory is winning the Class AA state title in 2005…will play at Bemidji State University this fall
#6 – Julie Blume – 5’8” – Setter – Wheaton High School – Played for Darla Thiel at Wheaton…team finished 24-7 in 2007…team made two Class A state tournament appearances, finishing 6th in 2006 and as Consolation Champions in 2007…team defeated Ada-Borup in Section 6A final in 2007…the Warriors defeated the Cougars in five games to gain their second straight state tournament birth…game five score was 19-17…was named to the Pheasant Conference All-Conference team in 2005, 2006, 2007…was conference MVP in 2007…was Honorable-Mention All-State in 2007…most memorable volleyball moment was blocking match-point in game five to give her team the Section 6A title over Ada-Borup…will play at River Falls-Wisconsin this fall
#6 – Claire Kopfmann – 5’9” – Middle Blocker – Minneota High School – Played for Heidi Peterson at Minneota…team finished 22-4 in her final season and 52-4 over her final two seasons…team lost to eventual Class A runner-up Windom Area in the 2007 Section 3A title match…the Eagles defeated the Vikings three games to one…team finished as Class A state runner-up in 2005 and as state champion in 2006…team finished a perfect 30-0 in 2006…team won Camden Conference titles in 2005, 2006, 2007…was All-Conference in 2006 and 2007…was conference MVP in 2007…was named All-Area by the Marshall Independent in 2005, 2006, 2007…named Class A All-State in 2007…lists her most memorable volleyball moment was winning the state Class A title and going undefeated in 2006…will play at Northern State University in Aberdeen this fall
#7 – Steph Boulton – 5’7” – Outside Hitter – Minneota High School – Played for Heidi Peterson at Minneota… team finished 22-4 in her final season and 52-4 over her final two seasons…team lost to eventual Class A runner-up Windom Area in the 2007 Section 3A title match…the Eagles defeated the Vikings three games to one…team finished as Class A state runner-up in 2005 and as state champion in 2006…team finished a perfect 30-0 in 2006…team won Camden Conference titles in 2005, 2006, 2007…was All-Conference in 2007…was named All-Area by the Marshall Independent in 2006 and 2007…named Class A Honorable-Mention All-State in 2007…lists her most memorable volleyball moment was winning the state Class A title and going undefeated in 2006…will play at Ridgewater College in Willmar this fall
#10 – Hannah Johnson – 6’1” – Outside Hitter – Greenway High School – Played for Rhaya Tomberlin-Anderson at Greenway…team finished 19-8 in 2007…team was swept by Hibbing in the Section 7AA final…team also advanced to section final in 2004…was named to the Iron Range All-Conference team in 2005, 2006, 2007…was named to the Duluth News Tribune All-Area team in 2006 and 2007…was also named Player of the Year by the Duluth News Tribune her senior year…was named All-State in 2007…finished her high school career with 1,186 kills…lists their Section 7AA final match versus Hibbing as her fondest volleyball memory…will play at the University of Minnesota-Duluth this fall
#11 – Megan Bezdicek – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Jackson County Central High School – Played for Teresa VanEpps at JCC…team finished 20-7 in 2007 and lost to eventual state champion Marshall in the Section 3AA quarter-finals…team won the Luverne Tournament and finished third at the SMSU Subway Tournament in 2007…was named to the Southwest Conference All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007…was named Honorable-Mention All-State in 2006 and 2007…most memorable volleyball moment was spraining her ankle 20 minutes prior to her final home match versus Marshall…will play at Augustana College in Sioux Falls this fall
#11 – Nicole Buysse – 6’0” – Outside Hitter – Pipestone Area High School – Played for Todd Texley at Pipestone Area…team finished 20-6 in 2007 and lost to eventual state champion Marshall in four games in the Section 3AA semi-finals…team won the Class AA consolation title in 2005 and finished 3rd in 2006…was named to the Southwest Conference All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007…was named All-State in 2006 and 2007…finished her high school career with 935 kills…fondest volleyball memories include playing in two state tournaments and sweeping Marshall in the regular season in 2007…will play at Minnesota State University-Moorhead this fall
#11 – Chelsea Koth – 5’10” – Middle Blocker – Hibbing High School – Played for Gail Nucech at Hibbing…team finished 23-10 in 2007 and lost to Jordan in the Class AA consolation final…prior to their Class AA appearance in 2007, the teams she played on at Hibbing had advanced to three straight Class AAA state tournaments after winning three straight Section 7AAA titles…was named to the Iron Range All-Conference team in 2007…was named to the Hibbing Daily Tribune and the Duluth News Tribune All-Area teams in 2007…made the Academic All-State team in 2007…was named Honorable-Mention All-State in 2007…most memorable volleyball moment was the first time she went into a state tournament match in 2005…will play at Northwestern College in Roseville this fall

#1 – Jennifer Lopez – 5’11” – Setter/Middle Blocker – Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School – Played for her mother, Jean, at D-G-F…team finished 32-1 in 2007…defeated Stewartville in five games to earn 3rd Place honors in Class AA last season…lettered six times for the Rebels…team advanced to three state tournaments (2002, 2004, 2007)…team finished runner-up to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in 2004…named to the state tournament All-Tournament team in 2004 and 2007…team won Heart O’ Lakes championships in 2005, 2006, 2007…was named to the HOL All-Conference squad in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007…was conference MVP in her final two seasons…was named Academic All-State in 2007…was named All-State in 2005, 2006, 2007…was named Minnesota’s Gatorade Player of the Year and Miss Volleyball in Minnesota in 2007…favorite volleyball memories include playing in three state tournaments and defeating #1 ranked Jordan in the first round of the state tournament this past season…will play at North Dakota State University this fall
#1 – Chelsea Nagle – 5’9” – Outside Hitter – Fillmore Central High School – Played for Kristi Bren at Fillmore Central…team was 19-4 last season…Falcons lost to Wabasha-Kellogg in the Sub-Section championship last fall…team won the Three Rivers Conference title…was named to the All-Conference team for four years…was named as the Falcons MVP for four seasons…was captain of the Fillmore Central squad for two seasons…named to the Winona Daily News All-Area team in her final two seasons…was the leading vote-getter for Class A seniors in All-State balloting in 2007 making her a finalist for Miss Volleyball in Minnesota…fondest volleyball memories include getting a home game at tournament time, advancing to the Mayo Civic Center last season, and being a finalist for Miss Volleyball in 2007…will play at St. Cloud State University this fall
#1 – Brittany Wenzel – 5’7” – Setter – Chaska High School – Played for Sue Murphy at Chaska…team finished 21-7 last season…team was swept by eventual Class AAA champion Shakopee in the Section 2AAA semi-finals…team advanced to two state tournaments winning back-to-back championships in 2005 and 2006…team defeated Marshall in five games in the 2005 final and swept Lakeville North in the 2006 final…was named to the All-Tournament team in 2006…team won the Lake Conference three times (2004, 2005, 2006)…was awarded All-Conference honors in her final three seasons…was named All-Metro by the Star Tribune in 2006 and 2007…earned KARE 11 Athlete of the Week during her junior year…best volleyball memories are winning back-to-back state titles in 2005 and 2006…will play at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall this fall
#2 – Jenna Green – 6’0” – Outside Hitter – Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School – Played for Jean Lopez at D-G-F… team finished 32-1 in 2007…defeated Stewartville in five games to earn 3rd Place honors in Class AA last season…team advanced to two state tournaments ( 2004 and 2007)…team finished runner-up to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in 2004…named to the state tournament All-Tournament team in 2007…team won Heart O’ Lakes championships in 2005, 2006, 2007…was named to the HOL All-Conference squad in 2005, 2006, 2007…was named the outstanding female athlete at D-G-F in 2007-2008…lists the 2007 state volleyball tournament as her greatest memory in volleyball…will play at Concordia College in Moorhead this fall
#8 – Laura Slinger – 5’9” – Middle Blocker – Bethlehem Academy in Faribault – Played for Franz Boelter at BA…team finished 25-8 in 2007…defeated Windom Area three games to one in the Class A state championship…team advanced to three state championships while she was a member of the Cardinal varsity…team won titles in 2005 and 2007 and finished runner-up to undefeated Minneota in 2006…never lost a Gopher Conference match during her career finishing 24-0 during that time…was named to the All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007…was named to the All-State team in 2006 and 2007…fondest volleyball memories are winning two state championships – one with my sister Mary and watching my sister Betty win a state championship for BA when she was a senior (2003)…will play at Bemidji State University this fall
#11 – Katie Kimman – 5’11” – Outside Hitter – Pierz High School – Played for Kurt Stumpf at Pierz…team finished 23-7 in 2007…lost to eventual state runner-up St. Cloud Cathedral in four games in the Section 6AA quarter-finals…team won the Ogilvie Tournament during the 2007 season…was named to the Central Minnesota All-Conference team in 2007…named the Brainerd Dispatch Player of the Year following the 2007 season…named team MVP in 2007…set school record for kills in a season and a career at Pierz…favorite volleyball memory is beating Maple Lake during the playoffs after they had swept the Pioneers during the regular season…will play at St. Cloud State University this fall
#14 – Mallory Fultz – 6’0” – Outside Hitter – Tracy-Milroy-Balaton High School – Played for Cyndi Raymond and Katie Gervais at T-M-B…team finished 17-7 in 2007…team lost to Lakeview in their opening round of the Section 3A tournament…team was Sub-Section Champion and Section Runner-up in 2005…named to the Camden Conference All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007…named to the Marshall Independent All-Area team in 2007…earned Honorable-Mention All-State honors in 2007…best volleyball memory is going to the state tournament with our team in 2004
